Mrs. Melinda Joslin, 87, died early this morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George Makin, 434 West Academy Street, succumbing to a week’s illness of heart trouble.
She was a lifelong resident of Wilkes-Barre and a widow of George D. Joslin, a former mail carrier. Survivors include two children, Mrs. Makin, and a son, Stanley Joslin, of Hollywood, Calif. She is also survived by six grandchildren, one great-grandchild and a sister, Mrs. M.A. Blanchard, of Detroit, Mich.

Mrs. Melinda Joslin, 87, widow of George D. Joslin, a former mail carrier, died on Saturday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George Makin, 434 West Academy Street, after a week’s illness of a heart condition.
The funeral will be held from the Kniffen Funeral Home, 465 South Main Street, Tuesday afternoon, with burial in Oaklawn Cemetery.
Surviving are two children, Stanley Joslin, Hollywood, Calif. and Mrs. Makin of this city; a sister, Mrs. M.A. Blanchard, of Detroit, Mich., six grandchildren and one great-grandchild, Mrs. Dorothy Lusko, George, Ruth Robert and Wilma Makin and Idamae Joslin of Hollywood and Robert Lusko. Her husband was a Civil War veteran.
