LUKE BOOTH, YAMHILL PIONEER SON, PASSES AT DALLAS AT AGE 75
Luke Booth, for 75 years a resident of Yamhill county and member of a pioneer Oregon family, died at Dallas last Thursday.
Mr. Booth was born in Willamina January 9, 1864, son of Luke and Phoebe Booth.
September 4, 1893, he married Mary Matilda Evans, who died in August, 1939. The couple moved to McMinnville 22 years ago, where they made their home.
He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Elsie Kelley, Dallas, and one brother, James Booth, Amity.
Funeral services were held Saturday at 2 p.m. from the Macy chapel here, the Rev. C.L. Dark officiating. Interment was in the Evergreen Memorial park.
