Claude Quinney Funeral Funeral Saturday
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon for Claude Quinney of Smiley, who passed away Friday with flu-pneumonia. He died in a Nixon hospital.
Mr. Quinney had been ill with flu, and got out before he was fully recovered. He then developed pneumonia.
He is survived by a young wife, in addition to other relatives.

Smiley-Funeral Services we're held at the Floyd Chapel Methodist church at 2:30 o'clock on Saturday afternoon for Claud Quinney, who passed away due to a relapse of the influenza at the Nixon hospital at 2 o'clock Friday morning. Rev. T. M. Mitchell, pastor of the Smiley and Floyd's Chapel Chapel Methodist churches conducted the rites. Interment was made at the Floyd's Chapel cemetery.
The deceased, who was called from this earthl at the early age of 34 years, was born at Floyd's Chapel and lived there until 3 years ago when he and his wife, the former Miss Velma Bennett, moved to Smiley. He had made many friends in the community and was well liked by all. He was a member of the Methodist church.
Surviving besides his grief stricken widow are 2 sisters, 2 brothers and his parents.
Pallbearers were Colley Burns, Cecil Thompson, Duck Whiddon, Pat Manford, E. H. Harrell and Sid Bundick.
