Passed away Saturday evening, October 10, 1953, at Borgess Hospital, Kalamazoo, Michigan, following a brief illness. Mr. Lumbard was born September 27, 1929, in Foley, Minn., the son of Corodon and Nellie Reed Lumbard, and had been a resident here for 12 years. He was employed as a well driver, and was a veteran of World War II, serving with the Navy. Mr. Lumbard is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Corodon Lumbard; 8 brothers, William, James R., Myrle, Clarence, Lester, Dale, Ralph and one sister, Mrs. Juanita Shank, all of Kalamazoo, Michigan; the grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William Lumbard of Kalamazoo, and Mrs. Lottie Reed of Lamont, Iowa; several nieces and nephews. Friends are being received at the Joldersma & Klein Funeral Home, Kalamazoo, where services will be held Tuesday afternoon, Oct, 13, 1953, at 2 o'clock, Rev. George Osborne officiating. Burial in East Cooper Cemetary, Riverview Drive and D Avenue, Kalamazoo County, Michigan.
