William Leonidas Campbell, Jr., of Fannett, passed away in Winnie Community Hospital.

He was a son, beloved husband and father, grandfather, educator, administrator and veteran of WW II. He was known as Hoss, Doc, Tex, Pop, and W.L.

He was survived by wife Norma Campbell; sons Lee Campbell and wife Joyce, John Campbell and wife Ann; daughter Beth McGown and husband Bobby; sister Faye Campbell; grandchildren Christopher Burns, John Ryan Campbell, Marlee Campbell and Caylee Campbell.

Everyone that knew him has their own special memories, so this obituary will not be a story of his life. However, he has one last lesson for his students and it is; 1. Don't judge your fellow man. We all have to answer to God for our actions. 2. Don't try to put God to a test, remember every thing you have is His, pay some back, not with fear but with love. 3. Do something good every day. 4. Love in this manner: God, Family, Country and others. 5. Be happy with what you have... Greed is your worst enemy. Thank God for all things he lets you have. 6. Don't be afraid to acknowledge Jesus before your fellow man. 7. Treat everyone equal.

W.L. Campbell once said "I have had some good times and some bad times, but the good have been so good that all the bad seems trifle. Everyday longer he lets me live, I thank him for; Jesus, my wife, Norma, children, Lee, Beth and John; their spouses, Joyce, Ann, Bobby; their children, Christopher, John Ryan, Marlee and Caylee."

He never liked to say good-by, it was always, "See you later." See you later Pop, your loving family.
