Born August 18, 1925 in Florence County, she was a daughter of the late Wardie H. Humphries and the late Mildred Hanna Humphries.
Dorothy was a retired sewing machine operator and was a member of the Edisto Pentecostal Holiness Church. She will always be remembered for her devotion as mission worker.
Surviving in addition to her husband are: her daughter; six step-children; a sister; three grandchildren and many step grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The funeral service will be conducted at 3 PM, February 1, 2015, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro, with interment following in Hampton Cemetery, Hampton.
