A retired employee of South Central Bell and a resident of Baton Rouge, she died at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 10, 2000, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center. She was 95 and a native of Henry, Ill. Visiting at Welsh Funeral Home, 6700 Florida Blvd., from 2 p.m. until memorial services at 3 p.m. Monday, conducted by the Rev. Carla Pratt-Keyes. Survived by a sister, Muriel S. Avery; a niece, Lynda Avery; and a nephew, Henry H. Avery. Preceded in death by her parents, Lester N. and Margaret E. Studyvin; husband, Bert Hubbard; an infant son, Bert Hubbard Jr.; and a brother, Verne Studyvin. She was a longtime member of South Central Bell Pioneers of America and a charter member of Helping Hands at University Presbyterian Church, where she was a member for 42 years.
