Mrs. Vickie Dianne Riddle Bowen, 62, of Austell, Georgia, formerly of Hahira, Georgia, passed away September 26, 2014 at Wellstar Cobb Hospital in Austell. She was born October 11, 1951 in Spartanburg, South Carolina to her late parents, George Hughton Riddle and Rachel Belva Burns Graham. After graduating from Chapman High School in Spartanburg, she moved to Hahira where she resided until moving to Austell with her daughter in 2013. She attended Covenant Outreach Church in Pearson, Georgia and worked formerly as a school bus driver for the Lowndes County School system and also delivered newspapers for Georgia Times-Union.

Mrs. Bowen is survived by her only daughter, Rhonda Bowen Green and Rhonda's boyfriend, David Myrick, both of Austell; two grandchildren: Rebekah Green and Nathaniel Green, both of Austell; a sister, Cathy Gaynell Riddle Browning of Chesnee, South Carolina; her aunt, Helen Burns Gowen, and two nieces, Carolyn Holmes and Dale White, all of Spartanburg.

A funeral service for Mrs. Bowen was conducted Tuesday September 30, 2014 at 3:00 pm at Sunnyside Church, 17 Crossroad Church Road (intersection of Crossroad Church Road and Sunnyside Church Road) in Pearson, Georgia with Sister Angie Stone officiating and a reading by Rebekah Green. Donna Bennett sang "He Knows My Name" and other special selections played at the service were "Rough Side of the Mountain", "That Kind of Love", and "I've Come Too Far to Look Back." Interment followed at the Sunnyside Church Cemetery where David Myrick, Michael Stone, William "Pal" Benett, Nick Sprague, Steven McCranie, Johnny Warren, Benny Freeman, and Tony Allen served as pallbearers. The family recieved friends prior to the service from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm at Sunnyside Church.
