PENNS CREEK --- The funeral for Mrs. Bessie Bohner Stehr, 87, Penns Creek, will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in the God's Missionary Church, Pillow, by the Rev. George Straub of Penns Creek and the Rev. Charles Haffling of Herndon.

Burial will be in God's Missionary Church Cemetery, Lykens RD.

Friends may call at the church Friday evening from 6 to 9 and on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Lawrence E. Rothermel Funeral Home, Klingerstown RD.

Mrs. Stehr died Tuesday in the Doctor's Convalescent Center, Selinsgrove, where she was a guest since April 18.

Mrs. Stehr was a member of God's Missionary Church, Pillow.

Born in Jordan Township, Herndon RD, March 5, 1891, she was a daughter of the late Adam and Sarah Hain Bohner. Her first husband, Benjamin Specht, is deceased. She later married the Rev. James Stehr, who died in 1971.

Surviving are the following stepchildren, Maynard L. Stehr of Gratz, Mrs. LaRay Scholl of Penns Creek and Mrs. Anna Smith of Hatboro; eight step grandchildren; 11 step great grandchildren; one brother, Carmie Bohner of Montgomery and six sisters, Mrs. Ruth Schaffer, Mrs. Beulah Adams and Mrs. Jennie Shoop, all of Millersburg, Mrs. Carrie Romberger of Halifax, Mrs. Mildred Kramer of Schulykill Haven and Mrs. Grace Peiffer of Frederick RD.
