PHYLLIS FARNSWORTH
Of Waltham, passed away Thursday, January 30th 2015 at the Wingate of Sudbury Nursing Home. She was 93.
Phyllis was born in Waltham, to the late Harold and Amy (Richardson) Bowman, October 10. 1921.
She was a proud lifelong resident of Waltham.
She graduated Waltham high school in 1940 and worked at Waltham Watch Company, putting hairsprings into watches.
Phyllis was thankful for her time at New Horizons in Marlborough, and leaves behind many friends there.
She had strong family values and loved her 3 boys and her grandchildren with all her heart.
She always enjoyed time with family and friends and was a lifelong member of Immanuel Methodist Church in Waltham..
Phyllis’ loving husband, Donald Farnsworth, of many passed away in 2002. She is survived by 2 sons, Donald Farnsworth and his wife Margaret of Marlborough and Douglas Farnsworth and his wife Yvonne of Waltham.
Phyllis is pre-deceased by her oldest son David Farnsworth who passed away in 2006.
She leaves behind 6 grandchildren, Lisa Molina and her husband Josh of North Carolina, Jonathan Farnsworth of Worcester, Jason Farnsworth of Waltham, Elyse Farnsworth of Sturbridge, Jeffrey Farnsworth of Waltham, and Matthew Farnsworth of Marlborough, 3 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service in celebration of Phyllis' life at the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons,
773 Moody St., WALTHAM, Tuesday at 11 a.m.
Interment will follow at Grove Hill Cemetery in Waltham.
