Chuck honorably served in the United States Army National Guard for nine years. He worked at Five Star in LaPorte and Knox for 30 years, then worked at Meijer in Michigan City, IN.
Chuck loved working in his yard. His grandchildren were his best love.
On Sept. 20, 1958, in LaPorte, he married the love of his life, Catherine (Waak) Hoff, who survives.
Also surviving are his daughters, Janet (Joe) Kelly of LaPorte and Debra (Rusty) Hessel of New Carlisle, IN; four grandchildren, Lindsey Hessel of New Carlisle, Allison Kelly and Scott (Lisa) Kelly, both of LaPorte, and Elaine (Jared) Sommers of Plymouth, IN; and two great-grandchildren, Evelyn and Anna Kelly, both of LaPorte.
Preceding him in death were his parents; one brother, Robert Hoff; one sister, Elaine Koss; and one niece, Sharon Koss.
