He was a graduate of Antigo High School.
Mr. Sickinger was a Dairy Farmer in the town of Hewitt, Marathon County. He also hauled cattle and sold used vehicles.
He enjoyed helping his son Mike with raising beef cattle and haying.
He wintered in Florida and valued time spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include a daughter Jane (Edward Jr.) Schwede of Wausau, three sons Michael (Cindy) Sickinger, Aniwa, Patrick (Shari) Sickinger , Wausau, Andrew Sickinger and his significant other Kathy Held, Aniwa; two sisters Shirley Hampson, FL, Charlotte (Dean) Raymond, IL; five grandchildren Jessica, Shannon, Sarah, Jeffrey and Tiffani; six great-grandchildren Trinity, Xianna, Landon, Hunter, Harley and Nevaeh.
He was preceded in death by the mother of his children Lois Sickinger, three sisters, June Duff, Mary Zoern and Frances Sickinger and two brothers in infancy.
A funeral service will be held on Friday at 11:30 a.m. at Bradley Funeral Home 1550 Neva Road, Hwy 45, Antigo with Rev. Charles Hoffmann officiating. Burial will take place in Elmwood Cemetery in Antigo.
Visitation will be Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at Bradley Funeral Home and Friday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.
