Rev. Murial R. Demeree, age 72, of Rt. 1 Niceville, Seminole Sub-Division, passed away at his home on January 31, 1977.

Rev. Demeree was a native of Canyon City, Colo., and moved to the Niceville area in 1959 from Tampa, Fla.

He retired as a home missionary to the deaf under the Southern Baptist Convention's Home Mission Board in 1967 after 11 years of service. He has been pastor for the deaf at Wright Southern Baptist Church, a member of the Southern Baptist Convention's Home Mission Board and vice president of the Florida Baptist Convention for the Deaf.

Rev. Demeree is survived by his wife, Mrs. Helen M. Demeree; one son, Robert L. Demeree; one daughter, Mrs. Helen L. Fields, all of the Seminole subdivision in Niceville; one brother, Harold L. Demeree of Pueblo, Colo., and one sister, Mrs. Vivian Atteberry of Willow Creek, Calif.

Friends may call at Little Chapel Mortuary after 5 p.m. Tuesday and after 9 a.m. Wednesday.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Wright Southern Baptist Church with Rev. Joe Holden officiating. Interment will follow in Beal Memorial Cemetery.
