She had been assistant librarian under Miss Mary Titcomb at Washington County Free Library in the early 1900's and during World War I had accompanied Miss Titcomb to Charleston, SC, where they distributed books to servicemen. She later was librarian in Montrose and Wilkes Barr, Pa., retiring in 1948. After her retirement, she was active for many years with the Washington County Tuberculosis Association. She was a life-long member of Zion United Church of Christ.
She is survived by one niece, Mrs. Ernest Poole, Hagerstown.
Services were conducted at the Rouzer Funeral Home; burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery.
