His family meant everything to him and he especially enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. Bill worked various jobs, mostly construction. He was trained in the Army to be a skilled heavy equipment operator. Bill drove truck over the road for 15 years, driving from coast to coast and from Canada to Mexico. After leaving the oil rig Bill bought and ran a Bar & Grill in Oklahoma for several years. Bill then returned to South Dakota and did salvage work for many years. He enjoyed doing wood work crafts, making lawn ornaments, piggy banks, clocks, and even made things out of leather. Bill died at his home in Geddes on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at the age of 71.
