Julia Marie Sanders Passed away on December 22, 2011 after struggling with Alzheimer's the last couple of years. Julia was born on December 14, 1915 in Portland, Oregon and raised around the Nehelem [sic] Valley. After graduating from High School she married Riley Sanders and spent the next 68 years with him until his passing in 2003. They raised two children, Marie and Riley Jr.
Growing up, Julia loved to sew and quilt. In her later years she enjoyed meeting regularly with the Tualatin Quilters. She always looked forward to her time with the quilting ladies.
Julia was preceded in death by both Marie and Riley Jr. and is survived by her two grandchildren Jim and Greg Trosper and great grandchildren Chaylene, Ryan, Trevor, and Taylor.
A celebration of life service will be held on January 7, 2012 at Calvin Presbyterian Church in Tigard, Oregon at 1:00 P.M. The church is located at 10445 SW Canterbury Lane. Arrangements under the direction of Young's Funeral Home, Tigard, OR.
