Elsie Lee (Murray) Cox, 98, went home to be with her Savior Wednesday, January 28, 2015.Born on August 10, 1918.
She was a member of Guiding Star Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mont and Sallie Murray; and her husband, George O. Cox.
Survivors: children, Linda J. Cox, Douglas Cox, Elsie Bowman (Ronald), Mary Gilbert (Jimmy); grandchildren, Douglas Harris, Brenton Cox, Lamont Cox, Lisa Cox, Celestine Bowman, Dana Bowman; five great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
Visitation: 6-8 p.m. Sunday. Service: 11 a.m. Monday, both services at her church, 2724 West Muhammad Ali Blvd. Burial: Calvary Cemetery.
