Billy “Spudnik” Barton, 75, of Hawk Cove went to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday January 27, 2015. A Funeral service celebrating Billy’s life will be at 11:00 A.M. on Friday January 30, 2015 at Ingram Funeral Home in Quinlan with Gary Murphy, Luis Camacho, and Kerry Cain officiating. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Thursday January 29, 2015.

Billy was born March 29, 1939 in Malakoff, Texas. He is the son of the late Clark Newton and Dorothy Ray Barton. He was raised and educated in Irving. He worked for Dallas Brake and Alignment in Dallas for 20 plus years. He owned and operated Barton Wrecker Service for 15 years and he also owned Bill’s Salvage Yard. Billy married Bobbie Patrick on April 11, 1995 in Corsicana, Texas. They moved to Quinlan in 1996. For the last 6 years he has worked as a security general for B & B Security in Terrell. He was preceded in death by his daughter Barbara Barton and his brother Rodger Barton. Billy was an avid CB’er and his handle was “Spudnik.” He enjoyed hunting & fishing, race cars, dirt bikes and he loved Motorcycles. He was an excellent marksman and loved animals. He enjoyed going to Church. Billy and his dog loved to ride in his golf cart to pick up his mail and to ride around the city. He enjoyed attending Trade Days and garage sales.
