Jon Robinson, 48, rural Osakis, died Tuesday, Jan. 16. 1996 at his home in Little Sauk Township, Todd county, Minnesota.
Jon Steven Robinson was born Sept. 29, 1947 in Little Sauk Township to Marvin and Elvira (Anderson) Robinson. He graduated from osakis High School and began working for Osakis Silo company. He married Mary Quinn on Feb. 24, 1968 in Belle River, Minn. He worked seven years for Osakis Silo Co. and another seven years building pole barns for Morton Buildings of Alexandria. He lived and farmed in rural Osakis and served in the National Guard for six years.
Jon is survived by his children: Georgia and husband Kevin Urhammer of Hudson, Wis.; Tara of Sauk Centre; Darcie of Roseville; Erin of St. Cloud; Rory, Jonathan and Dana of Sauk Centre; two grandsons; two sisters: Alaine and husband Maynard Olson of Garfield; Sue and husband Leo Stoetzel of Osakis; three brothers: Gary, Michael and wife Sheryl, and Thad, all of Osakis. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Gail Fiskness.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 20 at Roy-Hetland Funeral Chapel in osakis with the Rev. Victor Kinzer officiating. Interment was at the West Evergreen Cemetery in Osakis. Roy-Hetland Funeral Home of Osakis was in charge of arrangements.
