Leslie Wayne Fields, 88, of Walton, formerly of Mt. Auburn, Pendleton County, passed away Monday, January 19, 2015 at his home.

He was born in Pendleton County, on March 25, 1926 to the late Gus and Venna Records Fields, retired from the University of Kentucky Maintenance Department, a former appliance repairman with Sears & Roebuck, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, a peace Corps volunteer from 1989-1990, a 41-year member of the Covington Lodge #109, F & A M, and a member of the Northern Kentucky Bluegrass Association.

Surviving are children, Marc (Sandi) Fields, Erlanger, Wayne Fields, Walton, and Connie Sapp, Warsaw; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; half-sister, Mary Neumeister, Walton; several nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family and friends.

Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m., Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at the Woodhead Funeral Home, Falmouth.

Interment will take place at the Mt. Auburn Cemetery, Pendleton County, with full military honors by the Hardin Browning Post #109.

Memorials are suggested to the Redwood Rehabilitation Center, 71 Orphanage Road, Ft. Mitchell, KY 41017.
