Daniel P. Oliver of Mystic Island, N.J. passed away peacefully Saturday, Jan. 24, 2015, surrounded by his family, at the home of his son in Yardley. He was 76.
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Daniel and Mercedes Fabo Oliver. He was formerly of Croydon.
Daniel proudly served 20 years in the U.S. Navy. He later retired as an aircraft mechanic with The Boeing Company in Ridley Park, Pa.
Daniel will be remembered for his great love for his family and his favorite question 'when is it time to eat.' He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and was a devoted radio controlled aircraft enthusiast. He was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association.
He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Daniel M. Oliver and Rita McSorley of Lower Makefield; three daughters and sons-in-law, Charmaine and Dennis McQuillan of Lower Makefield, Michele and Michael Foisy of Croydon, and Emmalyn and Benjamin Rifflard of Harrisburg, Pa.; 11 grandchildren, Jacqueline, Dennis, Ryan, Keith, Michael, John, Daniel, Kimberly, Deborah, Benjamin, and Victoria; four great-grandchildren, Patrick, Olivia, Emily, and Grace; and a sister, Lucille Rosa of Wyndmoor, Pa. He was the brother of the late Diane Farnham.
His Funeral Mass will celebrated at 11 a.m., Thursday, at St. Ignatius Church, 999 Reading Avenue, Yardley, where friends may call from 10 a.m. Burial will be at 10:30 a.m., Friday, in the Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown.
