Carolyn was employed at the Erie Times Federal Credit Union for over 30 years, retiring as the manager/CEO. Carolyn was active as the Treasurer with the Grottoettes. She loved music and used to play with a hammered dulcimer group. She was an active member and volunteer of Lakewood United Methodist Church. She was a member of Erie County Koinonia and was a gifted seamstress.
Carolyn was preceded in death by husband, Richard Hanks and a brother, Alan Krantz (d 8/4/2006 age 62).
She is survived by two daughters, Christine McClelland, Kathleen Williams (Randy); one son, Thomas Sandell (Tracy); one sister, Ann Thornton; two brothers, Gary Krantz (Connie), Bruce Krantz (Alice); seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three stepchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Interment at Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
