Clinton G. Anderson, 68, of Percy, passed away at 12:51 PM Tuesday, January 27, 2015, at Sparta Community Hospital in Sparta, Illinois. He was born September 1, 1946 in Anna, Illinois the son of Edward and Frieda (Dickerson) Anderson. Clinton married Pamela Prince on March 25, 1977 in Wine Hill, IL.

Clinton was a retired Machine Operator for the Railroad. He joined the Missouri-Illinois Railroad in 1968 as a laborer on an extra gang and worked for the Missouri Pacific Railroad prior to Union Pacific. He started as a machine operator in 1971and spent the remainder of his career in the assignment, working primarily between Dupo, IL and Poplar Bluff; MO.

Clinton was baptized in the Baptist Faith. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way Local #965 and a retired member of the Percy Fire Department, serving from 1973-2005. He loved hunting and fishing and spending time with his Grandkids. Clinton was known for having a big laugh and a big heart.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 31, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Wilson's Funeral Home Steeleville, Illinois with Rev. Stephen Duncan officiating. Graveside Service will be at 2PM at the Cummins Cemetery, McClure, IL Visitation will be at Wilson's Funeral Home, Steeleville where friends may call from 4 to 8PM on Friday and on Saturday from 7:30 to 11AM. Memorials may be made to the family.
