Mr. William Boyd Isenhour, 84, of Hwy 90 East, Taylorsville, passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at Brian Center in Statesville.

Mr. Isenhour was born July 13, 1930 in Alexander County to the late Rev. Joseph Albert “J.A.” Isenhour and Eulla Vella Blankenship Isenhour.

He had worked as contractor and also owned and operated Emerald Valley Tractors Repair & Retail Shop.

He was a member of White Plains Baptist Church and he was an avid skeet shooter. Boyd loved to restore old tractors and make them look brand new.

Including his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant brother, Gail Isenhour.

Those left to cherish his memory include: a daughter, Nancy Ann Isenhour Possidente of Salisbury; two sons, William Gail Isenhour of Bethlehem Community, William Keith Isenhour and wife, Paula, of Taylorsville; a sister, Faye Isenhour Walker of Hiddenite; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be 2 p.m., Saturday, January 31, 2015 at White Plains Baptist Church. The Rev. Tony Daniels will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. prior to the funeral service.
