Richard Beyerlein, age 81, of Seattle, Washington, died April 2, 2006, following a brief illness.
Born in Seattle on January 27, 1925, to William (Biff) and Ruth Beyerlein, Richard attended Franklin High School and married his high school sweetheart, Marjorie. Together they had five children prior to Marjorie's early death from cancer in 1972.
Richard was an excellent dancer. He enjoyed square dancing with Marjorie and later in life was a regular on the dance floor at Dixieland Jazz festivals up and down the West Coast.
Richard enjoyed life to the fullest and traveled widely after taking early retirement from Sperry Rand at the age of 57. In his late 70s he and his girlfriend Theda Brenston visited Bavaria, Germany, from where his grandfather immigrated to the United States in 1865.
