Michael Pumphrey
Michael Scott Pumphrey, 31, of Prattsville, died December 14, 2000, at his home. Born November 1, 1938, at Malvern, he was a son of Mike Pumphrey of Prattsville and the late Peggy Sue Smith Pumphrey.
He was an operator for JMP Inc. He was a member of Harmony Missionary Baptist Church at Prattsville.
He was preceded in death by a grandparent, the late Grady Smith. Other survivors include a stepmother, Judy Pumphrey; two sisters, Michelle Pumphrey and Denise Hollinger; his grandparents, Roy Pumphrey and Betty Smith of Prattsville and Ray and Jewel Hughes of Sheridan.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday at Buie Funeral Home at Sheridan with the Revs. Vernon Bass and Mike Prince officiating. Burial will be in Philadelphia Cemetery at Prattsville.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
