"Roger D. Osborne, 61 years, of Fremont, Nebraska died Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at Lakeside Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska. Roger was born April 3, 1953 in Greeley, Colorado to Gwen (Miller) Osborne.
He grew up in Wahoo, Nebraska and lived in Omaha, Nebraska, Waterloo, Nebraska and moved to Schuyler, Nebraska in 1988. Roger married Patty Johnson in Schuyler on June 25, 1994. They moved to Fremont in 2009. He was the Plant Manager for NuTrend for 17 years. He was a Security Director at Excel in Schuyler retiring in 2009. Roger enjoyed bowling, camping, boating, playing cards, attending auctions, and was an avid Husker Fan and Cubs Fan. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Roger is survived by his wife, Patty Osborne of Fremont; sons, Chris and wife, Stacey Albers of Omaha, Travis and wife, Danielle Neubert of Fremont; daughters, Tracey Albers and special friend, Sheila Craig of Elkhorn, Nebraska, Deana Haynes of Waterloo, Tabatha Neubert and special friend, Erik Bergstrom of Manhattan, Kansas and Amanda Osborne and special friend, Anton Mueller of Columbus, Nebraska; mother, Gwen (Miller) Osborne of Reno, Nevada; brothers, George Osborne of Penrose, Colorado, Glenn and wife, Liz Osborne of Carter Lake, Iowa; sisters, Sherry and husband, Jack Feldmeyer of Penrose, Colorado, Billie Jean Johnson of Reno, Nevada and Lillie and husband, Dave Pankaskie of Arkansas City, Kansas; grandchildren, Patrick Albers, Matthew Osborne, Carter Neubert, Griffin Neubert and Brianna Haynes; and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Roger was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Aaron Haynes; nephew, Jeremy Gerrard and mother-in-law, Betty Johnson.
Funeral service will be 10:30 A.M., Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont, Nebraska. The Rev. Michael Thomas will officiate. Visitation will be Friday, January 30, 2015 from 5 PM to 8 PM with family receiving friends from 6 PM to 8 PM at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont and will continue 1 hour prior to the service on Saturday. Burial will be at Marietta Presbyterian Cemetery near Colon, Nebraska.
