William Ward Rose, 75, formerly of Terre Haute passed away Monday, January 26, 2015 at Wellbrook of Westfield. He was born November 7, 1939 in Frankfort, IN to William Rose and Neva Blinn Rose.
Survivors include his daughter, Cathy C. Rose (Rick) of Fishers, IN; son, Billy Rose (Jan) of McAllen, TX; granddaughter, Jill Rose; brother, Robert Rose (Carol); nephew Chris Rose; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins from the Frankfort area. He was preceded in death by his wife Carol Rose and his parents.
William was a retired Lt. Colonel of the U.S. Air Force serving two tours in Vietnam. He received the Purple Heart, Bronze Star, Air Force Presidential Citation, and Air Force Commendation Medal. He was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church, Social Lodge #86 F & AM 50 year member, Scottish Rite Valley of Terre Haute, Zorah Shrine, and was Past Associate Guardian of Job's Daughters Bethel #45 Springfield, VA.
Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. Noon on Thursday, January 29, 2015 in Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home , 605 South 25th Street, Terre Haute, IN. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park with military honors. Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to service on Thursday. Memorial contributions may be made to Shriner's Hospital for Children.
