He was the son ofthe late Joseph and Minnie Wilson Norris. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife, Lillian Norris; son, Dennis Norris, as well as seven brothers and sisters.

He was a member of the Order of the Golden Dragon for serving his country in the Navy during World War II.
Graveside Services were held Friday, May 9, 2014 at Mountain Home National Cemetery. Military Honors will be provided by the Kingsport American Legion.
