Enlisted from Stamford Aug. 2, 1862, shoemaker, age 19. Wounded and missing in action July 2, 1863, Gettysburg, Pa. Taken prisoner and sent to Belle Isle. Paroled June 28, 1864 and sent to Haddington Hospital in Philadelphia. Discharged Aug. 27, 1864. Also participated in the Battle of Chancellorsville.
