Robert C. Loy, 93, of Arcanum, died Tuesday, January 27, at his residence.
Robert was born in Troy on April 5, 1921, son of the late Russell and Goldie (Drury) Loy.
He was a member of the Church of Christ at Eaton. Mr. Loy was a WW II U.S. Army veteran.
He worked at the GM Truck & Bus Plant, Moraine, retiring in 1987.
Robert was a member of the Arcanum Lions Club, American Legion, Greenville Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite Valley of Dayton, and the Antioch Shrine.
Mr. Loy was preceded in death by Step Daughter Tammy Colvin, Step Son Garry Colvin, 4 Brothers and a Sister.
He is survived by his wife Ruth (McDivitt) Loy whom he married December 5, 1967; Sons Robert Jr. (Rita) Loy of Gettysburg, Russell Loy of Richmond, OH, Charles (Lucinda) Loy of Troy, Richard (Denise) Loy of Troy, and Mark (Amy) Loy of New Madison; Step Sons James (Robin) Colvin of New Madison and Larry Colvin of Gratis; Daughter-in-Law Monica Colvin of Gratis; 18 Grandchildren; 17 Great Grandchildren; and Sister Lucille Zimmerman of Oxford.
Funeral Services will be held 3:00 PM on Sunday, February 1, 2015 at the Kreitzer Funeral Home, Arcanum with Rev. Paul Nichols officiating.
Burial 11:00 AM, Monday in Spring Lawn Cemetery, New Paris. The Family will receive relatives and friends Sunday 1 - 3 PM at the funeral home.
