Sharon was a supportive military wife and mother of their three children, in addition to beginning her own career with the Civil Service while they lived in California. After they moved to San Antonio, Texas, Sharon later resumed working for the Civil Service at Fort Sam Houston until her retirement. Sharon had a strong faith and enjoyed her church life at Northside Church of Christ – their Life Group, Sunday school classes, and serving as a greeter.
Sharon found great joy in her family. She made sure to remember family birthdays, planned large holiday celebrations, and was happy beyond measure to have had the chance to take her entire family to Disney World in the summer of 2013. She is survived by three children and their spouses, Craig and Lisa Zimmerman, Scott and Cathi Woods, and Sean and Paula Woods; as well as ten grandchildren and her husband of 47 years, Ken; and sister, Rebecca Fogel.
