He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Betty (nee Foster) McRoy, married May 28, 1949, two (2) siblings, Agnes Walker and Leonard McRoy.
He is survived by four (4) children, Michael McRoy, of Kirkwood, Missouri, Lewis (Katie) McRoy of Defiance, Missouri, John (Becky) McRoy of Kingsville, Missouri, and Joe (Wyndy) McRoy, of Crestwood, Missouri, eight (8) grandchildren, Jason (Kate), Benjamin (Shelby), Matthew (Heather), Carrie (Joshua), Anna (Daniel), Kimberly (Samuel), Ashley and Darren, eight (8) great grandchildren, Bryce, Rylee, Elijah, Nathaniel, Brecken, Colton, Emma and Sadie, two (2) siblings, Woodson McRoy of Owensboro, Kentucky and William McRoy of Memphis, Tennessee, and many other relatives and friends.
Freeman loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He enjoyed gardening. Freeman was a member of Webster Groves Baptist Church where he was a Deacon. He is fondly remembered and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
