Mrs. Kathleen Bynum Lancaster, 84, of Dalton passed away Sunday, January 25, 2015 at Hamilton Medical Center.

She was the daughter of the late James Lester Bynum and Katherine Howell Bynum and was preceded in death by her brothers and a sister-in-law, Mack Earl Bynum and Loran and Cleo Bynum.

Kathleen is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Herbert Lee Lancaster of Dalton; children, Ricky Lancaster and his fiancé, Lisa Jones of Chatsworth, Lee Ann and John Brown of Dalton, Mark and Ellen Lancaster of Bloomfield, NJ; grandchildren, Kristin Lancaster, Richard Lancaster, Andy Lancaster, Meghann and Shannon Coley, Whitney and Matt Cathey, Jordan Brown, Leah Lancaster and Mack Lancaster; 6 great-grandchildren, 1 niece, 1 nephew and her beloved dog, Cody also survive.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of the Dalton First Baptist Church with the Rev. Phillip Cannon officiating.

Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery in Trion, Georgia.

The family will receive friends in the atrium of the church on Tuesday from 11 to 1 p.m.
