WEST BERLIN - Brenda Mae Swift, 77, died Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at her home in West Berlin. She was born March 9, 1937, in Barre, the daughter of Floyd and Madeline (Taylor) Wheeler.
She married Paul J. Swift on Feb. 2, 1957, in Hardwick. He died Feb. 16, 1998.
She worked for Northfield Wood Products from 1976 to 2006, retiring after 30 years.
She enjoyed tending her garden and operating a lawn figurine business.
Survivors include three children: Paul Jay Swift, of West Berlin, Lori Ashley, of Waterbury Center, and Sally Matison, of West Berlin; and two granddaughters. She is predeceased by her husband Paul Swit.
At her request, there are no calling hours, and private services are planned for a later date at the Calvary Cemetery in Northfield, Vermont
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Central Vermont Home Health and Hospice, 600 Granger Road, Barre, VT 05641. Kingston Funeral Home in Northfield assisted with the arrangements.
