The memorial service for Robin L. (Novy) Carter, 47, of Pierre and formerly of Clear Lake, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 6, 2006, in the Houseman-Eng Funeral Home in Clear Lake. The Rev. Theodora Boolin will officiate. Robin died May 2, 2006, at St. Mary's Healthcare Center in Pierre following an accident.
Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery, Clear Lake.
Robin Lynn Novy was born in Inglewood, Calif., on March 31, 1959, to Elmer and Barbara (Gent) Novy. She attended elementary schools in Rochester and Wayland, N.Y. In 1972, she and her family moved to Clear Lake, where she graduated from Clear Lake High School in 1977. She was then briefly married to John Carter.
She had various jobs through the years, but her favorite was her button business at OAHE Inc. She enjoyed doing all kinds of craft activities and frequent outings with her friends. She had been a resident of OAHE Inc. for several years.
She is survived by her parents, Elmer and Barbara Novy; Sharon (Marty) Voss, Peggyann (Stacy) Novy, Deborah Meguire and Jennifer (Ryan) Kirschenmann and Amber, her granddaughter.
