Viola Kay Lewis, 85, of Ripley, passed away Friday, January 16, 2015 at Eldercare in Ripley following a long illness.
She was born August 18, 1929 at Rockcastle, a daughter of Everett and Ina Barnette Kay.
She is survived by her husband, Henry Lewis of Ripley; daughter, Angie Staats of Ripley; step-son, Leslie Lewis of Ripley; sister, Violet Kerns of Ripley; brother, Gary Kay of Ripley; grandchildren, Jessica (Jason) Eberth of Ripley, Brooke (Mike) Hosaflook of Evans, Camdyn Staats, Addison Staats, Carter Staats, Caleb Staats, and Anna Staats, all of Ripley. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Hayden Eberth, Emma and Mikayla Hosaflook.
She was preceded in death by a son, Michael Ray Kay; sisters Lucille Hinzman and Luella Spears; brothers, Kenneth and Larry Kay.
Funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Monday, January 19, at Waybright Funeral Home with Pastor Kris Powell officiating. Burial will be in the Pine Hill Cemetery, Ripley. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
