Actress. She was an English performer, best known for her a role as Elizabeth Perrin on the BBC television series, “The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin” (1976-79). After leaving school, she went straight into acting in stage shows at age 17. In 1957, she was cast in the role of Estelle Waterman for the British TV soap opera “Emergency Ward 10”, followed by the films “Fly Away Peter” (1959) and “Identity Unknown” (1960). Her other film credits included “Never Mention Murder” (1964), “Darling” (1965), “Lionheart” (1968), “The Four Feathers” (1978), “She Be Wearing Pink Pajamas” (1985) and “Elenya” (1992). Remaining primarily in TV, she appeared in the series “Crown Court”, “Armchair Theatre”, “The Doctors”, “Z Cars”, “Sentimental Education”, “BBC Playhouse” and many more. She died in her sleep at age 85 at the actors' home in Denville Hall, north-west London.
