David D. Hutson, 76 of Findlay, Ohio passed away January 25, 2015 at 10:35 p.m. at his home surrounded by his wife and family. He was under the excellent care of Bridge Home Health & Hospice with many wonderful nurses and aids. We want to thank the staff of Bridge Hospice, especially Sally, Ian and the STNA that assisted us on the day David passed away for their professionalism, care and support. David was born on his grandparent's farm in Pleasant Township, McComb, Ohio to Virgil "Orton" and Helen Hutson on October 25, 1938. David married Imogene Reinhardt on September 4, 1959 in Monroe, Michigan and she survives. They had three children: Daryl Hutson of Hillard, Lorraine Hutson of Findlay and Lucinda "Cindy" (fiancé, Ralph Patterson) Roberts, Arcadia; four grandchildren: Jason Hutson, Indian Lake, Matthew (fiancé, Nicole) Roberts, North Baltimore, Molly (Ronnie) Mansfield, III of California, Amanda (fiancé, John) Roberts and Riley Patterson, who looked to David as a grandpa as well. David's greatest joy was his three great-grandsons that he truly cherished: Landon and Carson Roberts, North Baltimore and his newest great-grandson, which he met for the first time last week, Ronnie Mansfield, IV, two months old of California. He is survived by a special friend and work buddy, Dan Fagan. Another great joy of David's was the trips to Defiance, Ohio to visit his youngest brother and personal barber, Jerry and Leigh Hutson. David looked forward to these visits! He is survived by several nieces and nephews as well. Preceding him in death is his younger sister, Roxie Phillips and half-sister, Delores Green. After high school, David served two years in the US Marines and then served in the Ohio Defense Guard. He was a life-member of the AMVETS and the DAV. David worked 41 plus years at Cooper Tire and Rubber Company, was a member of the Cooper Union #207 and served one term as Union Secretary. He was a past member of the Jaycees, a former Indian Guide Scouting Advisor and was on the Board for Mill Street Credit Union. Visitation will be held from 2:00-4:00 & 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 29, 2015 at the funeral home. Pastor Terry McBeath will officiate. Burial will follow in Knollcrest Cemetery, east of Findlay, where full military rites will be performed by the Hancock County Veteran's Memorial Squad. Memorial contributions may be made to Bridge Home & Hospice in David's memory.
