He died Sunday, January 25, 2015 at the residence.
Mr. Hollingsworth was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War. He served in the Army from 1949-1952 and in the Air Force from 1953-1970, retiring after 22 years of service. Later, he retired as a tug boat captain with Arthur Smith Towing, Inc. He was a member and past commander of the Hattiesburg VFW Post 3036 and was a member of Green's Creek Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Patricia Hollingsworth; his parents, Aubrey and Cotie Hollingsworth and six brothers.
He is survived by one daughter, Stacey L. Moncrief-Smith (Danny) of Lucedale; one sister, Dixie Bullock of Petal; three grandsons, Quentin, Caleb, and Seth Crabtree.
