Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Cease Family Funeral Home in Bagley, MN with the Reverend Steve McCaughan officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service also at the funeral home. Interment will be at the Silver Creek Cemetery in Clearbrook, MN. The Cease Family Funeral Home of Bagley assisted the family with the arrangements.
Laura was born on November 14, 1918 in Holst Township the daughter of Emil and Christine (Bauer) Dahlke. She grew up and attended school in District 27 Holst Township. During World War II she lived in Richmond, CA and worked on the Kaiser Ship Yard.
When she moved back to the area she bought a farm North of Shevlin on the County Line. She moved to the cities and worked as a House Keeper. She met and married George Henry and the later divorced. In 2001, when she was 82, she moved back to the Bagley area. In 2003, she moved into the Greensview Nursing Home where she has lived ever since.
Laura loved dogs and liked to ride the bus. She enjoyed cooking and canning.
She is survived by her nieces and nephews
She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings - Carl, Elsie Ranisate, Mary Steenerson, Emil Dahlke Jr., Willie, Henry, Annie, Freddy and Walter.
