Mrs. Mabel Eilene Goddard, 47, of 930 Oak Ridge Dr., died at 7:18 p.m. Sunday in Memorial Hospital after a year's illness. She had lived in South Bend most of her life. On Dec. 23, 1945 in South Bend, she was married to Mark Goddard, who survives. Other survivors include her mother, Mrs. Mabel Simpson of Pleasant Plains, Ark.; a brother, Charles Norwood of Tempe, Ariz.; and two sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Walker of Illinois and Mrs. Kathryn Cutler of Camden, N. J. Mrs. Goddard was an employee of the St. Joseph Bank & Trust Co.

Funeral services for Mrs.Mabel Eilene Goddard, 47 of 930 Oak Ridge Dr. who died Sunday will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Hollis Funeral Home by Rev. Fred W. Pfotenhauer, pastor of Hilltop Lutheran Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park.
