Patsy was born March 6, 1950 in Newport, Arkansas to Charles Bowen and the late Joyce (Baty) Bowen. She graduated from Kersley High School, class of 1969. Patsy worked as a bookkeeper at the Mather Inn, as a crossing guard for the Ishpeming Public Schools and as a certified nurses aide at the Mather Nursing Center.
Patsy enjoyed camping, fishing, traveling, playing Bingo and spending time at casinos. She had a love for animals, but her top priority were her grandchildren, whom she loved to be with.
Patsy is survived by 2 children: Wayne Ross and Shirley (Michael) Tracy both of Ishpeming, her father Charles Bowen of Tombstone, AZ, 5 grandchildren: Joshua (Ashley) Ross, MacKenzie Ross, Ashlee Hughes, Desiree Hughes and Vince Barnett, a great grandchild, Maximus Ross, a brother Bobby (Theresa) Bowen of Otter Lake, MI and a sister Penny (Danny) Donofrio of Otter Lake, MI, along with several nieces and nephews. Patsy was preceded in death by her husband Duane Ross, her mother Joyce Bowen, a sister Margaret Bryan and a brother Jimmy Bowen
Patsy's family will greet relatives and friends from 2:00-4:00pm on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at the Bjork & Zhulkie Funeral Home where a memorial service will be held at 4:00pmwith Rev. Lauri O. Maki officiating.
The family would like to send their appreciation to the 400 wing at Marquette County Medical Care Facility for their love and devotion given to Patsy during her stay, and to U.P. Home Health and Hospice for the wonderful care they provided.
