Died age 27

The body of Miss Caroline R. Walch, who died at Camp Travis, Texas, last Friday, October 18th, arrived in Norman Sunday morning at 3:43 o’clock escorted by Sergeant Homer L. Sheets, and was immediately taken to the home of the deceased’s mother.

Miss Caroline was a trained nurse at Camp Travis and had been there for some time. The cause of her death was pneumonia, following an attack of influenza. She was twenty-seven years of age.

Private funeral services were held at the Catholic Church Monday morning at 10 o’clock. Six nurses from St. Anthony’s hospital in Oklahoma City acted as pall bearers. The floral offering was very beautiful. Interment was made in the Catholic Cemetery.
