Former Henry County School System teacher Jeannette Lindsey, 72, of Mansfield died Jan. 25, 2015, at her residence.
Visitation is from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at McEvoy Funeral Home and after 11 a.m. until time of services at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Henry Church of Christ where Lindsey was a longtime member.
Roger Graham and Rex Buford will officiate.
Burial will follow in Van Dyke Church of Christ cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Lynn Parker, Craig Parker, Terrill Parker, Tim Parker, Jesse Parker, Roy Lee Ray and Lance Winders.
Honorary pallbearers will be Lindsey’s classmates from the Henry High School Class of 1961.
Lindsey was born Jan. 10, 1943, in Mansfield to the late Clyde Thomas and Beatrice Mizell Parker.
She was married July 30, 1960, to David Lindsey, who survives.
Lindsey retired after teaching more than 37 years. She was a member of the Tennessee Educators Association, and Henry County Educators Association where she served many times on the negotiating committee.
She was a member of the Retired Teachers Association, Pleasant Hill Family and Community Education Club, and co-owner of Lindsey Farm and Lindsey Mini Storage.
Along with her husband, Lindsey is survived by two daughters: Donna (Lee) Winders of Mansfield and Diane (Alan) Lancaster of Paris; a son: James (Lisa) Lindsey of Mansfield;
Two sisters: Margaret (Rex) Enoch of Hazel and Cynthia (Lars) Kearbey of Lakeland; two brothers: Wallace (Ruthie) Parker of Paris and Norman (Lonnell) Parker of Nashville;
Eight grandchildren: Crystal (Grant) Norwood, Joshua (Kristy) Lindsey, James (Jamie) Williamson, Ashley (Jesse) Allison, Megan (Nathan) Blackwell, Ryan (Candace) Lindsey, Sara Williamson and Luke Williamson; and 13 great-grandchildren.
