Alf Morten Saevig, son of Rev. O.M. Saevig, died on Jan. 19, 1907, aged 11 years, 8 months and 15 days.
He was an unusually bright and energetic boy until the past summer when he suffered from a paralytic stroke, but after a time he seemed to improve, and it was thought that he might recover, but medical skill and constant care were unavailing, and he died suddenly Saturday morning.
He suffered much from bodily pains, but, the distress of mind at not being able to indulge in his former youthful sports was infinitely greater.
His sufferings are over but his vacant place in the home has caused a great heartache for those who knew him best and loved him most.
The funeral was held at the Yellowstone Lutheran Church on Tuesday, conducted by Rev. P.J. Johnson, of that Chruch, and Rev. J.A. Wang of Cherry Branch.
