LAS CRUCES, N.M., Nov. 21 -- Eugene Harrison, 46, Kincaid, Ill., fell to death in the shaft of the Torpedo mine at Organ, N.M., Tuesday. A bucket in which Harrison was being lowered caught on a projection in the shaft, overturning and precipitated him to the bottom.

Former Tovey Man Is Killed -- Drops in Shaft of New Mexico Mine.
Taylorville, Nov. 21 -- A message was received in Tovey late Tuesday afternoon stating that Eugene Harrison, forty-six, former Tovey policeman, was killed that afternoon in a copper mine at Organ, N. M. The Harrisons left Tovey some years ago for New Mexico in the interest of the health of their daughter.
Harrison fell to death in the shaft of the Torpedo mine at Organ. A bucket in which Harrison was being lowered caught on a projection in the shaft, overturning and precipitating him to the bottom.
