John A. Wood died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Bill Reeves. Mr. Wood was born in the Salt Creek Comunity, near Barton Chapel. He married Miss Maggie Tipton on 26 December 1889. She preceded him in death. Mr. Wood was living with his daughter, Mrs. S.B. Frost in Dallas, Texas, and was in Jack County for a visit.
Survived by his daughters - Mrs. Bill Reeves, Mrs. S.B. Frost, Mrs. Ina Sauls, Mrs. Bessie Luten; one son - J. Edmond Wood. Pallbearers were grandsons - Doyle Gray, Arnold Frost, Marlon Reeves, Herschel Frost, Alphis Sauls, Lawrence Wood.
