My Cousin. Carla was born on March 9, 1963 at Norton Air Force Base to Jesse Carl Laughlin and Marion Wells. She grew up in Rialto and attended Eisenhower High School. From there she completed classes at the Riverside City College and Valley College in San Bernardino. Always welcoming a new challenge and being great at multitasking. She was proudly employed by the Department of Children Services of Riverside County for over 20 years. Carla is survived by her husband Lyndle Garrett who she has known since 1990 and married in snow covered Big Bear, California on February 22, 2004. She is also survived by her sons Eddie McKinney and wife Laura and Brian McKinney, Grandson James McKinney, Sister Dr. Sharon Laughlin, Aunt Dorothy Harp, 4 Cousins Larry Wayne Laughlin, Dale Laughlin and wife Marinda, Denise Walker and husband James and Ray Dean Harp. She is predeceased in death by her parents Jesse Laughlin and Marion Laughlin and brother Mike Laughlin. Carla passed away peacefully at Morning Glory Hospice in Riverside on December 24, 2014. Thank you god for letting her visit for a while. Her heartfelt laughter will echo in our memories forever.
