A Celebration of Life Party for Eric Kyle Boyer, age 61, of Meadow Grove, Nebraska will be Saturday, January 31, 2015, at 5:00 p.m. at the Fire Hall in Meadow Grove. Pastor Ralph Metschke will officiate with time for fellowship to follow.
Eric died Friday, January 23, 2015 at Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk.

Eric Kyle Boyer, son of William and Juanita Boyer, was born September 18, 1953, in Long Beach, California. He attended many schools as Eric's family served in the armed forces protecting the country. Eric enlisted in the Army from 1971 to 1975, where he worked in transport and pyrotechnics in Motor Pool in Germany. He got out of the military and moved to Meadow Grove to be near Grandpa Homer and Grandma Hazel Boyer and uncle and aunt Jim and Betty Boyer. Eric had many skill certifications in electrical, carpentry, but his passion was for art. He owned and operated a sign-sandblasting business for several years. In 1993, he traded in the paint brush for a tattoo machine and ink. He had found his life-long passion. He had no training except for on his family and friends, who were his test subjects, and he was a natural. He owned and operated Eric's Tattoos for nearly 17 years, with his sister Robin and daughter Angelique as his apprentice. He was side-swiped by diabetes, which took his vision and he was unable to do what he loved most with his art.
While living in Meadow Grove, he met his soon to be wife, Beverly Freeman, and they were married on April 14, 1976. Two children, son, Jesse and daughter, Angie were born to this union. Eric was baptized into Christ's Kingdom in 2003 at Willow Creek Reservior.
He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; brother-in-law; sister-in-law; and many aunts and uncles.
Left behind to do God's works are his wife, Bev of Meadow Grove; son, Jess (Michelle) Boyer of Lincoln; daughter, Angelique (Chris) of Oakdale; two grandsons, Cody and Gavin of Lincoln; sister, Robin Boyer and her husband, Billy Allen of Meadow Grove; aunt, Joyce Coffee of Waco, Texas; two uncles, James Boyer of Tilden and Richard Boyer of Costa Rica.
